Dr. Caballero earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics from the University of Arizona, where he developed a strong understanding of the complex biological systems underpinning human health. This foundation paved the way for his medical training at Indiana University School of Medicine, where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree. Following medical school, Dr. Caballero pursued a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine. Here, he honed his skills in diagnosing and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders, with a focus on surgical precision and patient-centered care.

To further specialize in spine care, Dr. Caballero completed a prestigious Spine Fellowship at Hoag Orthopaedic Institute in California, a leading institution known for its advanced techniques and cutting-edge research in spinal surgery. During this fellowship, he gained advanced training in the newest minimally invasive and complex spine surgical techniques, enhancing his ability to address a variety of spine conditions effectively.

Dr. Caballero is passionate about improving patient outcomes through a combination of nonoperative solutions, innovative surgical techniques, and compassionate care. He is committed to staying at the forefront of spine surgery by engaging in continuous education and incorporating the latest advancements into his practice. He utilizes motion preserving implants, spinal navigation and robotic technology, when appropriately indicated, to ensure the most effective outcomes.
